About The Book ...
LA romcom writer Mia Valentina has it all; money, success, a tanned and toned body, golden blonde hair and a string of sexy lovers. She’s almost forgotten her previous self: plain old Mia Harrison. Until a wedding invitation arrives requesting (demanding!) her presence as chief bridesmaid at her younger sister Belle’s upcoming nuptials.
Mia’s barely been back in England before she’s accidentally injured the groom, unintentionally ‘cursed’ the wedding and been caught in a compromising position with her sister’s soon to be brother-in-law!
With the wedding of the year going dangerously off the rails, Mia has no time to waste – especially with sexy fireman and best man Leo on hand to help… Will she use all of her expert romance knowledge to save the day or will she just walk away? No one ever said a bad girl had to turn good…
Bad Bridesmaid By Portia Macintosh well what can I say other than I bloody Love it!!
We all love a bad boy, the whole bad boy goes good, well Portia Macintosh turns that on its head with Mia Valentina! Mia is a LA RomCom writer, she is bad, she takes what she wants, she sleeps with who she wants with no emotion, no strings and moves on, she is the ultimate bad girl, but what happens when the bad girl has to be a bridesmaid for her perfect sister, what happens is hilarious, fun and fresh!
Mia is off to Devon to for her sister's wedding, as soon as she arrives her old friend chaos turns up too!
From putting her soon to be be brother in law in bed for the most of the trip, to introducing her nephews to the wonderful and vivid language of Pulp Fiction Mia does it all, and not one person is on her side her judgemental family, her creepy uncle who for some reason is always looking for spiders in her bed. Mia feels alone, she feels lost but not once does she cave in, she holds her head high and carries on till Leo the fireman arrives.
Time to swoon ladies, Leo the fireman isn't like the rest of the men Mia encounters, maybe its his rock hard pecs, maybe its the fact he has a hairdress for a mum whatever it is, Mia has feelings and its all going to get a little complicated.
What I love about Bad Bridesmaid is the humour, its seriously funny the mishaps from flowers, the men's suits and ending up half naked sitting on her sisters imported wedding cake, it has some of the best one liners and scenes in a book I've read!
Its fun, its exciting, its like a night out with your girls, so grab a cocktail ladies its time for you all to meet Miss Mia Valentina!
