About The Author
Rebecca Raisin has a unique talent, she writes beautiful stories that not only captivate you and leave you sitting up well past your bedtime but that are memorable. You will not forget the small and picturesque town of Ashford. With characters that are full of life and panache. My favourite being Cece, she is a southern belle with a whole lot of heart.
So The Christmas Wedding At The Gingerbread Cafe, is all about natural beauty Lil and swoon worthy Damon and their road to their very own Christmas card perfect wedding but their is some bumps and road blocks along the way. Enter Damon's parents dear old George and your typical mother in law, snooty, manipulative and quite frankly bitchy Olivia. Ohhh she annoyed me at first, I wanted to stand up and say no, no you don't ruin this for me, they belong together, see how involved I get with fictional characters.
As always, there are some spectacular mentions of food, I want to see Lil's window display, gingerbread christmas trees, the cakes, the pies oh god I think i gained a few pounds just reading it. All the books Gingerbread Cafe books are full of warmth and romance, but this being the final book in the series ( sad I know) it was crammed with, love, happiness, friendship and everything else that makes us warm and gooey.
This book is fabulous, it is the perfect christmas read, grab those ghastly christmas jumpers, put on those floppy slippers and grab yourself a copy of Christmas Wedding At The Gingerbread Cafe. Also keep an eye out for a mention of Clay and the Maple Syrup Farm, because he may just get his own story, in March 2015 most likely, wink, wink, nudge nudge.
Join Lil and Damon for the wedding of the year, with a flamboyant french chef, old friends and everything we love about Rebecca Raisin's books.
