About The Book
Alexis Wyndham is the other type of Queen B—the Queen Bitch.
After years of being the subject of ridicule, she revels in her ability to make the in-crowd cower via the exposés on her blog, The Eastline Spy. Now that she's carved out her place in the high school hierarchy, she uses her position to help the unpopular kids walking the hallways.
Saving a freshman from bullies? Check.
Swapping insults with the head cheerleader? Check.
Falling for the star quarterback? So not a part of her plan.
But when Brett offers to help her solve the mystery of who’s posting X-rated videos from the girls’ locker room, she’ll have to swallow her pride and learn to see past the high school stereotypes she’s never questioned—until now.
About The Author
Crista McHugh is an award-winning author of fantasy and romance who writes heroines who are smart, sexy and anything but ordinary. She currently lives in the Audi-filled suburbs of Seattle with her husband and two children, maintaining her alter ego of mild-mannered physician by day while she continues to pursue writing on nights and weekends.
She is an active member of the Romance Writers of America (including the Greater Seattle Chapter and the Seattle EastsideChapters), and Romance Divas.
Just for laughs, here are some of the jobs she’s had in the past to pay the bills: barista, bartender, sommelier, stagehand, actress, morgue attendant, and autopsy assistant.
And she’s also a recovering LARPer. (She blames it on her crazy college days)
I have been looking for a good teen angst novel for a while, full of drama hormones and gossip. Something that makes you reminisce and also fills you with those teenage dreams, there is something very satisfying reading YA so when I stumbled upon Confessions Of A Queen B* I on Netgalley I was pumped to get that little email saying I could now view the title! I was not disappointed!
The first in the series releasing on July 28th, the book is about the queen bitch of a high school, Alexis is the bad girl brutally honest to protect herself from all the trials and emotion that can cripple a teenager! She also runs an expose blog called The Eastline Spy where she dishes up retribution on everyone and everything she deems worthy. Problem is she has just found herself paired with the golden boy of her high school, the jock, Mr Popular and the epitome of what she finds repulsive, but what she finds, is appearances and stereotypes are not always what they seem!
Having a robotic baby to share the two find themselves opening up, uncovering their high school's latest drama and that the pair have a heavy and hot chemistry, but can the Queen B be anything but what she is, can she really allow herself to let down her guard.
This book for me was a fantastic start to a series, I can not wait to see what is in store for bad girl and Alexis and golden boy Brett! I can not wait for the new dramas and more of the back story that slowly seeped out of the book and gripped you! If you are looking for a fantastic YA novel full of juicy gossip, attraction and secrets this is for you!
FIVE STARS FOR CONFESSIONS OF A QUEEN B* BY CRISTA MCHUGH
