A world built of words
visit the far corners of the earth, live a thousand lives, read.
Sin Noble is the President’s personal assassin, due to her unique ability to kill. What most don’t know is, he’s also her brother, and not at all the cuddly or loving kind, either. After surviving a difficult childhood and life on the streets, she adapted to her murder-for-hire lifestyle by going against nature and using her reaping powers to take enemies of the President before their time. As Death incarnate, Sin has the unique ability to alter the Death Design—the pattern that decides who should die, and when.
But tempting fate doesn’t come without a price. Or a questionable relationship with alcohol.
When she is sent by her brother to assassinate a suspected blackmailer, Sin soon realizes that the situation is more complicated than he let on. She is partnered with another employee of the President, Liam Sanders, whom she hates with a passion. When push comes to shove, that passion soon turns into something her hormones can’t refuse, and Sin can’t live without.
Constantly running up against her Supernatural fathers and sarcastic sisters, Sin’s tangled web of a mission reveals that The Covert is once again preying on all of the world’s inhabitants. Sin is desperate to discover the truth before she decides to take another life outside the Death Design. Will she be able to accomplish the impossible, while being pursued herself by mysterious dark forces? One thing is certain: no can escape their destiny. All will be revealed in the Death Design.
I am a huge N.L.Hoffmann Fan, so when I got to read Death Design the final book in the Daughters of Darkness series early I was over the moon, I was so excited to meet the final sister, the last piece of the puzzle to stopping the destruction that loomed over the world.
Death Design welcomes Sin another daughter of suave and ludicrous Lucifer, the king of hell, she is a reaper, she is death and she is totally badass. If you haven't the first two books in the series, then you should, the entire series, is a supernatural adventure with healthy doses of humour, mystery, and some sexy alpha males to round it all off. Death Design is no exception, with love triangles, vampires dragons and the worlds fate the book never has a dull moment.
What I really enjoyed about Death Design was the progression from the author, the growth is clearly seen, the writing is effortless, the characters relatable even if they are paranormal, I mean how many books have you read when you find yourself relating to the problems of a reapers, vampires and demons, let me tell you not a lot.
Another seriously amazing element of the book is the humour, N.L.Hoffmann is hilarious no doubt about it. Lucifer, the king of hell, is my favourite character in the book, he is outrageous, appearing in ungodly clothes, streaking and a proud owner of one disgusting hell hound he never ceases to entertain. There are so many moments in the book where you find yourself laughing at all the characters antics, from Blake, the half vampire, half demon pregnant lady with one hell of a blood lust problem. to Liam the sexy assassin who is a lot more that he seems driving Sin mad with desire.
I can not recommend this book and this series enough, join sin as she and her sisters, fight to regain balance, with wit and flair N.L.Hoffmann does it again, a perfect paranormal adventure.
