A world built of words

In this irresistible romantic romp, movie fanatic Kensington Shaw is thrown into love—Hollywood-style—when her gorgeous ex presents a series of big screen challenges to win back her heart. What girl wouldn’t want to experience the Pretty Woman shopping scene? It’s number two on the list. Or, try the lift from Dirty Dancing? It’s number five. One list, ten romantic movie moments, and a handful of shenanigans later, Kenzi has to wonder…should she marry the man her family loves, or risk everything for a love like the movies?
The Review For Love Like The Movies
I'm totally in love with this book. I found myself lost in the references to all the fabulous movies, my favourite being Bridget Jones, as it is my favorite film ever, and I too, "would call you Bridge". So anyway down to the nitty gritty! Kenzi is engaged to the paper perfect man, Bradley, everything is how it should be, her ducks are in a row shall we say, but in walks in Shane, her first love, her first heartbreak. The devastating effect he has on Kenzi spirals her life out of control. Kenzi's family is not your average supportive family, they sometimes miss the mark and leave Kenzi feeling misunderstood and never quite good enough. So when she is having doubts about her relationship she doesn't run home to mum, she is left to figure it out herself with some pretty hilarious methods.
So Shane, Shane is back, after 7 years away from Kenzi, and let me tell you this man, is a dreamboat, yep thats what I said a dreamboat, romantic, sweet, but still has that stubble and can knock a guy on his ass when he has to. What I loved about Shane was the way he really got Kenzi, thats what love is really about, someone that gets you and Shane has Kenzi and this time isn't letting her go.
Kenzi, and her best friend Ellie for me had the best scene in the book, when there is a snake in the grass, Kenzi is determined to find out the truth and when she is confronts the frenemy all hell breaks lose and that is one scene I know you are all going to LOVE!
Love Like The Movies, is a chick flick, it is one of those books where you conjure up the characters in your head, and its beautiful, funny and charming its the perfect book for any chick lit fan, and for all us RomCom lovers out there.
Grab some popcorn, dim the lights, and enjoy this vivid love story.
