About The Book ...
Having unexpectedly lost her husband and lacking the means to support herself, Josie DiSanti and her two daughters take refuge in the small town of Mill River, to live with Josie's aunt, Ivy. The sisters, Rose and Emily, are inseparable growing up - until a shocking tragedy tears them apart.
Years later, Rose and Emily return to Mill River for the reading of their mother's will, where they learn that Josie would do anything to force their reconciliation: the sisters must move into neighbouring houses for the summer and work together to locate the key to Josie's safe deposit box, which contains their inheritance. And so, left with no choice, Rose and Emily reluctantly begin their search. But in a place known for its magic and miracles, little do they know that an even greater treasure awaits them . . .

I adore this book! it is a book that is so heartwarming and honest I couldn't put it down. In first chapter you are immediately thrown into this family that has been devastated by tragedy Josie has lost her husband to a house fire, everything she owns is gone all that is left is Josie and her two daughters. No home no belongings and no father for the girls. The grief they all share is grippeling and when they all go to live in Mill River with Josie's Aunt Ivy, Josie isn't alone in the battle that she is now facing. flash forward to the day Josie dies and her daughters come to her wake the girls find out that Josie still trying looking after them even though she isn't with them anymore even though Josie's methods are slightly unorthodox the girls agree simply because they have too. The sisters were so close growing up they were each others crutches they held each other on those cold nights they loved and looked after each other but thats all been destroyed the sisters relationship is torn apart and now Josie is going to try repair that in her very own way!
The most beautiful thing about this book is the characters, Josie, the sisters, Aunt Ivy basically everyone in Mill River are so complex and interesting that you just sit there turning page after page to find out who they really are, what are they all about and what happened to break the bond between the sisters? So many questions, so many levels to the book build up a novel that is simply beautiful. I loved it, it was enchanting, beautiful honest and full to the rafters with emotion!
I would highly recommend this book to anyone, it's a shout it from the roof tops kind of recommendation!
Charming, emotional and beautiful The Mill River Redemption is unforgettable!
