About The Book...
Madoc and Fallon. Two estranged teenagers playing games that push the boundaries between love and war . . .
For the three years she's been away at boarding school, there was no word from her. Back when we lived in the same house, she used to cut me down during the day and then leave her door open for me at night.
I was stupid then, but now I'm ready to beat her at her own game . . .
Three years and I can tell he still wants me, even if he acts like he's better than me.
But I won't be scared away. Or pushed down. I'll call his bluff and fight back. That's what he wants, right? As long as I keep my guard up, he'll never know how much he affects me . .

Rival is one of the most addictive books I've read in a while. I was completely enthralled from the first page! Madoc and Fallon were each others first, Fallon would never let Madoc get away with anything, she called him on his crap, she didn't buy into the facade that he used, she knew who he was. She would smash at his ego in the day and leave her door, and her bed open at night. living in the same house was pretty damn good for the unlikely couple till one day something tore them apart, and tore them so far apart they both hated each other, seeing each other was like putting salt on an open wound, a wound that would never heal. So Fallon left!
Three years later and Fallon is back, and she is more bad girl than ever. Madoc can't stay away he has to see the girl that broke his heart, but when the two come face to face their chemistry is explosive. They both affect each other just as strongly probably more than they did three years ago. What Fallon doesn't know is that her plan, her plan to take vengeance on the people that not only broke her heart but put her through so much pain, isn't going to be as easy or as fun as she thought it was going to be one hell of a challenge.
What I loved most about Rival was the characters, they are so detailed, their back story was so fulfilling, You really got to know Fallon & Madoc, you knew their past, their family, oh did I fail to mention that they are step siblings, yes! forbidden love anybody? Fallon's mother is married to Madoc's father, this only adds to the tension, the heat and chemistry and it only gives the pair more obstacles to overcome.
Rival is hot, its addictive and it just perfect. If you enjoy romance novels with edge, fire and explosive chemistry and one hell of a premise Rival By Penelope Douglas is for you!
Rival is apart of the Fall Away series & I can not wait read more from Penelope Douglas.
