About The Book
Welcome to tranquil Tippermere, an idyllic village nestled deep in the Cheshire countryside. Home to lords and ladies, horsemen and farmers, and plenty of secrets and scandals…
Leaving a scumbag ex behind her, Lottie Brinkley has hotfooted it out of Spain and back home to the country in serious need of some flirtatious fun to soothe her aching heart.
Luckily for her she’s spoilt for choice with not one but three eligible bachelors offering a steamy romp in the hay! But faced with the attentions of roguish eventer Rory Steel, the smiling Irish eyes of hunky farrier Mick O’Neal, and mysterious newcomer Tom Strachan, how can she possibly choose?
When billionaire landowner Marcus James drops dead unexpectedly, his WAGish wife Amanda threatens to sell the heart of the village and sets her sights on Tom! It seems things are heating up for little Tippermere… both in and out of the saddle.
About The Author
So I settled down a few nights ago with Stable Mates By Zara Stoneley, now I am a huge horse racing fan, I love it, to me it is one of the most glamourous sports so when I came across a romance novel that featured the glitzy world of show jumping, dressage and stables riddled with sexy, and complex characters I was immediately gripped, I requested on NetGalley immediately!
So Stable Mates is all about the Tippermere a fabulous village full of glamour, drama, and sex oh and a few horses thrown in for good measure. Zara Stoneley really brings to life the whole small knit and gossipy village to life, I want to go there I want horse riding lessons and I want to find myself a sexy Irish Ferrier, swoon appeal is about 1000 in this book, I also had a soft spot for cheeky chappy Rory Steal the playboy eventer who never really left Lottie's heart.
What is so good about this book, is the way each character has such a full and vivid backstory, they all brought something to the table and the total mix of types people really made this one very entertaining read. From Elizabeth basically the matriarch of Tippermere who knows everything, drinks too much gin and manipulates everything and everyone, she really is a fantastic character, I did have a love hate relationship with Pip, I just didn't know what her objective was, she was a grey character for me, she wasn't the bad girl and she wasn't the good girl she was great entertainment though even if there were moments I wanted to slap her!
Stable Mates is a seductive fascinating novel. Mucking out the horses just got sexy!
