A throaty laugh made him pause.
Taken By Tuesday is every chick lit lovers chocolate, it's sweet, delicious and oh so satisfying!
Judy has just graduated college, her and her best friend Meg are set to conquer the world, moving to LA and staying in Judy's movie star brother's home. When Rick turns up, back in her life after a year, her plan to say focused and achieve in her career as an architect is slightly changed, ok, it changes alot.
Rick can't get his little pixie out of his head, Judy invades his thoughts and he really can not stay away!
So being the head of security for Mike, Judy's brother. Rick now has the opportunity to get to know Judy a little bit more.
Well lifes never that simple, Judy is attacked! Her family, friends and Rick have to find the man who did this to her, but what happens in the mean time is pretty damn GOOD!
First of all I want to start with Judy, she is a great heroine, full of fire and spunk and intelligence she really is a great leading lady! I enjoyed her back and forth with with Rick, you could feel the chemistry oozing from the words, she wanted him, oh she really wanted Rick but she wants a career, she doesn't want to lose herself to him, she doesn't want to just be a wife!
Rick, well heres a man that is the perfect book boyfriend. Ex marine with the nickname of Smiley, what could be better than that. The perfect alpha male with dimples, he has it bad for Judy & when Judy is danger he swears to protect her. All together now "awwwww!"
What I loved about Taken By Tuesday was the premise, it was up and down, you had parts where you wanted to slap Judy for being sensible and not rushing things with Rick, there was parts where I was lost in a daydream imaging my other half dressed as a marine, it really is a image inducing book, but what Catherine does best is leaving just the right amount of room for you to imagine the characters for yourself.
Thats what reading is all about for me imagination not just the authors but the readers too.
Catherine Bybee writes great romance, with suspense, steamy tension, and one hell of a plot line Taken By Tuesday is perfect! I can not wait to read what happens to rest of this fantastic character ensemble
