Book Review with the Children from My Book Club
So what you may not know is I work full time as a Teaching Assistant, and one of my favourite responsibilities is running the book club, we have spent a lot of time on The Dinosaur That Pooped series, we have read as group, we have read them independently and we have done some fab dinosaur designing.
The book we focused on is this week was The Dinosaur that pooped the bed! Even the title had the group gripped and ready to read, reading is the foundation of learning, I am extremely passionate about my child and the children at the school I work in having the opportunity and tools to read and enjoy books. Having fabulous books like the Dinosaur that pooped series helps to enrich their reading time and brighten their day.
The children were enthralled by the books, finding them hilarious, entertaining and even having a very good moral that we can all learn from! We discussed it using my book jar, who were the main characters? What can you tell me about them? They all answered and understood the books which for year one and year two children which is the age range of five to seven is a great achievement!
These books are fabulous for both girls and boys, I have loved featuring them in our book club, there is so much you can do, activities to then explore and do with children at home and you are always bound to have one happy, giggling child when you introduce Danny and his pet dinosaur to the kids!
" Miss can we read more"
With tons of fun activities games, there is endless fun to be had!
Thanks For Reading Lovelies
