About the book
Is it possible to freecycle love?
Modern dating is hard, especially when all you meet are liars, oddballs, men who wear Superman pants and men who live with their mums.
So why not date someone who already comes pre-approved? Just because your friend’s ex wasn’t right for her doesn’t mean that he won’t be right for you. That’s Marnie’s new plan for herself and her three best friends, perennially single Helen, recently divorced Rosa and cynical lawyer Ani.
Through bad dates and good, the four friends begin to realise that there are advantages to dating pre-screened men…but there can be some serious pitfalls to falling for your friend's ex.
About the author
Eva Woods lives in London, where she writes and teaches creative writing. She likes wine, pop music, and holidays, and thinks online dating is like the worst board game ever invented.
I always enjoy a book that's slightly different to the norm, a book that either has a voice all of its own, or just a subject matter I've never really stumbled upon, The Ex Factor is one of those books with four different voices shining through the book gives you a modern day outlook on dating, which is unforgiving and honest while making you giggle like you're watching someone fall over. (You know that never gets old) the book is based on four friends each with their own flare and spice, each having their issues and flaws.
What also was so different was the male leads, not your average hero, not your alpha male no, a twist as we all know my other half and probably yours isn't a big ripped alpha male banging on his chest and rocking deep possessive issues no my man works a fifty hour week and likes discovery shed, sometimes it's nice to read something different.
This book was a solid read, funny, fresh and frantic. The perfect book to accompany the last of the summer nights, so grab a glass of wine put your feet up and delve in!
As Simon Cowell would say. "It's a yes from me"
The Ex Factor as got The X factor!
