The Bookshop On The Corner By Rebecca Raisin is possibly one of my favourite romantic reads of the year so far, yes that is a really big statement but the reason behind this is because of what you get from this book, you have strong female characters, delicious men that are as delicious as a double chocolate, caramel sundae. Not only do you get a fabulous love story but you get some really funny moments that are truly memorable I will share with you my favourite lines below.
The story is all about Sarah and her search for her own real life book boyfriend, that fairytale love story, when the handsome New York journalist turns up in her charming bookshop she feels the connection, she knows he is utterly divine, but can she really trust him, is it all just to good to be true. Ridge is handsome, he is classy and says all the right things, he even has a body of a greek god and he even eats ice cream seductively, he is perfect, the book is all about how one woman can let her heart lead and not her head. Ridge & Sarah are made for each other everyone can see it, but can they get over the long distance that separates them, can they survive a misinterpreted article?
This book is divine, charming and is perfect for all book lovers! Rebecca has written a story where not only do you connect with the characters you fall for them all in different ways. You are lost in this beautiful town where you find yourself grabbing chocolate goodness and a beautiful book that was made for you. A love story for everyone, a must read & simply perfect.
