About The Book
About The Author
Nothing is more satisfying than a well written, entertaining romantic comedy. The Story Of Us by Ellen Faith is just that! The book begins introducing you to the fabulous Alexandra Jones, she has it all, a rich fiance, a gorgeous house, a promotion on the cards, and one hell of a best friend but one day her little bubble is popped by a selfish boss and a cheating fiance. So after her world being turned upside down she decides to take Rosie, her best friend, up on her offer and go with her for a fashion shoot in San Francisco. So ensues brilliant chaos and swoon worthy romance.
What I love about this book is how relatable it is, we have all had our hearts broke or played with and drowned ourselves in Ben & Jerry's we have all decided that a radical change is in need after our ego's are bruised so the way Lexi handles her break up and the way the supporting characters rally around her is so true to life that you are warmed by it all.
Another major selling point for me is the humour, god I laughed at this book, I love a book that does that, you find yourself giggling away thinking I have so done that, for example all us girls have our "Stripper Song" all plead guilty now we all have a song that makes us jump from our seats gather out friends and take over the dance floor while spilling our drinks all over the place and screaming "This is out songgggggg!!!" the scene when Lexi and Rosie's stripper song comes on had me in stitches!
Now time to get to the nitty gritty! Man candy, so the gorgeous Ryan uber cool guy with a sarcastic and brutal exterior is out leading man and he is fabulous, his character is introduced and developed well, and you do find yourself wishing for you very own Ryan!
With dramatics, laughter and romance Ellen Faith brings us a Chick Lit novel that is worth every penny!
