So I asked Karen who her dream cast would be for The Vineyard and she gave me four options Cal Gerard Butler or Jude Law now I chose to go with Gerard as well he is what I imagined Cal to look like, now Lizzie we had the options of Jessica Brown Findlay or Emily Blunt I went with Jessica as she was more unique but still classically beautiful!
The Interview With Lizzie Lambert From The Vineyard
Hi Lizzie thanks for stopping by Chicks That Read, firstly can you tell me a little about yourself?
Thank you for inviting me Tay. I can ramble on so stop me if I go on. I landed in Cannes purely by accident. After two years at university and a few failed and humiliating relationships, including one with my mother, I ran away. I worked for several seasons in France on campsites and in winter, ski resorts in the Alps but it was when I was just helping out a friend on a yacht in Cannes when I fell in love with it. Yes, it was here I met the egotistical Anton but, I must admit, that short affair turned out to be a substantially bitter-sweet one for me. I found myself just twenty two and pregnant but the decision to keep my child was the best ever. As a mother to my little boy Thierry, I can’t tell you how much I adore him. He has been such an inspiration to me and I just love him to bits. I was determined to give him a good life. It wasn’t easy to set up home here but, I’d worked and saved hard to make it happen. I am also lucky to have the love and support from my good friend Sophie who I wouldn't be without.
What living person do you admire the most?
It has to be my mother. I hadn’t realised just how much life had thrown at her and all she had been through and so, to see how well she’d coped made me appreciate as well as admire her so much.
What is your biggest extravagance?
Living in Cannes. There are less expensive places to live but it was worth the sweat and tears. I just love my apartment and the community Thierry and I live in, it breathes so much life and energy.
What is your favourite time of year?
Early summer especially in Provence when it blooms in abundance.
What quality do you like most in a man?
Integrity. He would have to be as honest with himself as he is with me.
What do you consider as your greatest achievement?
Gosh, hard question! Thierry I would consider the greatest as he has motivated me to make everything else happen including the beauty business and building bridges with my mother.
What is your favourite wine?
Whilst I worked in the Burgundy region in France I tasted some of the best, especially the smooth reds from Beaune.
Do you have any beauty tips for us?
Plenty of sleep and water along with an array of fresh fruit and veg are the best ingredients for beautiful skin.
What is the most romantic thing that has ever happened to you?
Having a simple but beautiful meal with Cal overlooking the hills of Provence. The view was stunning but so are his eyes!
Finally what is your idea of perfect happiness?
Staying here in the south of France and sharing the beauty it offers with Cal and our family and friends.
